IAPA COMMITTEES

AWARDS
Works on the promotion of the IAPA Awards, materials solicitation, and selection of the recipients.
ARCHIVES
Historian, collects memorabilia for scrapbook and official photographer.
BYLAWS
Reviews Bylaws and policies. Solicits and makes recommendations for changes and prepares proposals for Amendments and presents them to the Memebership for approval.
CONTINUING EDUCATION
Promotes and develops curriculum and continuing education opportunities for Activity Professionals.
CONVENTION
Works on the Annual IAPA Convention.
EDUCATION
Helps to plan, organize and execute the Education Sessions at the Annual IAPA Convention. Works on obtaining qualified speakers and plans other educational opportunities for the IAPA Membership.
FINANCE
Oversees the IAPA Bank Account. Works with the treasurer to prepare the Annual Budget and present it to the Membership for approval.
GOVERNMENT RELATIONS
Represents and conveys a consensus of the IAPA Membership to governmental agencies.
NEWSLETTER
Helps to solicit articles, edits and publishes the IAPA Quarterly Newsletter.
NOMINATING
Helps to prepare the slate of candidates for the IAPA Board.
REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVES
Liaison to Local Associations.
RESOURCES
Maintains a central source for resources/makes them available to IAPA members.
WAYS AND MEANS
Secures and sells promotional items and runs raffle during convention. Works with the convention committee and secures convention exhibitors.

Help to build the future for the Activity Profession in Illinois by being a member of the IAPA Board. What are you doing to help the Activity Profession? What do you need to help you as an Activity Professional? There are a wide variety of positions within the IAPA Board. Some positions may require that you work within the committee at the meetings other committees may meet in your local area or some may have tasks that can be completed from your home. No matter what you choose, the future relies on you; IAPA needs your help and expertise to keep up the momentium into the new millennium.

All IAPA Members are invited to participate in the IAPA Executive Board Meetings. You will receive a Certificate of Attendance that can be redeemed for a reduction of the registration fee for the annual convention.
